Onion Jam Burger

Ingredients
- Brioche buns
- 2 tablespoons Butter
- Onion jam
- Ground beef or turkey of choice
- 1 pack sliced Mushrooms (I prefer to slice myself for a thinner mushroom but can buy pre sliced)
- Half cup red wine
- Sharp cheddar
- Zesty dill pickles
Instructions
Buns- Melt 1tb butter on heavy bottom sauté pan or cast iron.
Toast brioche bun on pan
Mushrooms- Add mushrooms to piping hot skillet cook until brown, add salt, pepper, onion and garlic powder, deglaze pan with half a cup of red wine. Let wine cook down and finish with the last tablespoon of butter. Set mushrooms to the side and wipe skillet.
Meat- Salt meat and cook to desired temperature (165 if using turkey) using the same skillet. Top with cheddar, put a splash of water to pan and cover with lid to melt cheese.
Heat onion jam in microwave for 30 seconds .
Spread mayo on bun, and build your burger with all the fixings.
